The UK’s average broadband speed rose from 50.4Mbps to a healthy 59.4Mbps between 2021 and 2022 which is around an 18% speed increase, which is good news for businesses as well as residential users. These figures come from the official OFCOM Broadband Performance Report.
The report also mentions that 91% of UK homes have ‘super fast broadband’. Although this is good news for the majority of business and people in the UK, rural communities continue to suffer from low Broadband speeds due to the costs involve of installing fibre optics to remote communities..
