How to test if your Windows computer RAM memory is working correctly?

Windows computers rely on Memory (RAM) to store data, programs temporarily while the CPU processes the data and if RAM memory is faulty then it can throw up many problems including a hung system, corrupt data or failure to work correctly while running.

However there is a way that any user of the Windows platform can test the memory from within Windows itself, a free program called MemTest64.
