Protecting your Apple ID is crucial with passwords and 2FA are all well and good however to really secure your Apple ID from hackers and scammers will be to use an external hardware dongle. Similar to what users use when logging into an online bank account for example.
Now Apple in its newer releases for iOS, iPad and Mac OS Ventura has released Security Keys. Basically it supports the very strong FIDO Certified NFC dongles that you place near your Apple device when logging in as it sends an NFC code during the logging in process.
