Pagefile.sys is a common file on the Windows operating system and in general terms is used as temporary storage for your systems physical RAM memory. However as WindowsReport explains it can grow to huge sizes and is ‘tempting’ to just delete it to free up space, however by deleting its is not recommended and may cause stability problems with your PC.
